The group likes to prey on disenfranchised youths that might be susceptible to their venomous, ridiculous rhetoric about nonwhites stealing jobs from whites.

Unity in the Community is using the neo-Nazi presence in the Olympia area to redouble its public education and research efforts, turning lemons into lemonade.

"Unity is poised as the polar opposite of all the things that the National Socialist Movement stands for," said Unity co-chair Reiko Callner, executive director of the state Commission on Judicial Conduct and a woman of Japanese-American, Jewish and Lithuanian lineage.

"We want to affirm the best of what Olympia is."
